Going Grey…
Are you thinking about embracing your silver hair? Around my 60th birthday I did just that!
I thought – I am going to ignore the social pressures to appear youthful and instead – embrace authenticity. l want to be my natural true self. I now accept that going grey is a part of life that I don’t want to hide. I discussed my decision with my wonderful hairdresser, and she explained that I didn’t have to go cold turkey and end up with a noticeable line between the new and the old growth.
The number of foils is staggered each time and gradually becomes less and less. After several months a lovely little silver patch developed above my right ear. It is hard to see due to my fringe, but I LOVE it! It’s authentic and I feel true to myself.
